An open question forum with a Massachusetts Attorney on the intersects of BDSM and the law (this is purposely open ended as the intersects can range from Criminal to divorce and everything in between). While everything has the potential to intersect kink/bdsm with the law, the main areas that seem to come up are: What is consent? What affects someone’s ability to consent?, how does my being kinky affect me: in a divorce, with a paternity action, in a child support/custody matter?, with DCFS? With work? in court?
What do I tell me Doctor about my bruises (routine exams vs emergency)?; What should I tell the police if they want to talk to me about the bruises (or anything else)?, If I tell my doctor ALL about my lifestyle, can anyone else see that? What about my therapist? Can I be committed (psychiatric) for engaging in lifestyle activities? and any other questions you may have, I may not have the answers,to everything, but we can discuss it and have some fun in the process.
