Frictionless Kink & The Ins and Outs of STDs

Presented by: Angel Clutis

Friday July 9, 2010 Location in Waltham: 7:30 – 9:30 PM

A good lube is so often the unsung hero of truly fabulous sex. And now that folks have finally realized this, the shelves of your local sex emporium are stocked with a whole universe of lube choices: lubes of every color and heat, texture and thickness, each accompanied by a long list of ingredients, suggested uses and cautionary tales. What’s a kinky person to do?! Fortunately, Angel Clutis is here to help sort this out, with suggestions and stories about what works well with which orifice or toy, which combinations to avoid, and why lube makes an attractive conversation-starter for any bedside table. What is organic lube? Which lubes are best for happy, healthy vaginas? Which work well with anal play, including fisting? Angel will cover everything from the corner-store sticky-stuff to the powdered lube intended “for veterinary use only.”

Have you read about the recent research that suggests that using lube for anal sex increases STD risk? In the second half of this workshop, Angel will address the obvious question: WTF? As well as discussing other sexually transmitted diseases and infections. How are they transmitted? Which are curable and which are treatable? Are there vaccinations against any of them? Which are viral, which are bacterial? and how can you protect yourself and your play partners? And finally, does using lube with anal sex actually increase the chances of getting and STD? Join us for this unexpectedly fun and interactive workshop on disease and infection.
